You can be too cool

A truly sharp and apt piece by Maureen Dowd.

Especially liked the criticism of Obama's too-cool response (the man has to learn that the office represents more than just a policy response in times of perceived crisis) and the movie reference to "Total Recall" (you know the scene).

Quote, "Yet he often seems mired in the past as well, letting his hallmark legislation get loaded up with old-school...". His whole concept of government is retro turn of the 20th century via post WWI Russia. I'm not sure why people though change meant "new" ideas. The big new idea for health care is a government option. The big new idea for AGW is to tax our energy usage and give the money to other countries. The big new idea for job growth is government spending.
