Ask the road warriors about security

ARTICLE: For Security Ideas, Ask Business Travelers, By JOE SHARKEY, New York Times, December 28, 2009

This actually makes a lot of sense: tapping serious road warriors for ideas on improving security. Nothing replaces the experience gained by constant exposure to the process the world over.

But the time to tap us would be during travel, so I would suggest setting up terminals for biz travelers to step up, right after going through scanning, to pop out ideas. And no, a paper form and a collection box won't work. Just a simple screen where you can ID yourself and quickly bang out your idea.

If anyone at DHS had any imagination this would be a good opportunity to set up a MMOG based on airport security. If we accept that the Detroit attack represents a failure of imagination, then we have to get more brains in the game.

Totally agree Tom. We could do the same for... fill in the blank. I will, cutting health care costs, covering those who chose not to cover themselves, cover those who just can't due to handicaps. How about getting people back to work, how about a sensible energy policy?

It's called crowed sourcing and Tom I know you totally understand that. I don't think our elite in Washington and media understand the concept.

As more policy comes under government control the less creative, responsive and visionary our solutions become.
