If sanctions won't work and military strikes won't work then what? Do we just sit back and accept that whoever wants nukes can have them and do nothing? Personally I don't care what nations have them if they're responsible with them. It's the nutters that tend to support terrorism I get concerned with. Given the West's penchant for "playing by the rules" regarding civilian casualties Iran would probably consider itself fairly safe from retribution I'd think. Does anybody honestly believe the US would nuke Tehran if terrorists set one off in Los Angeles for instance? There would always be a sliver of doubt as to if it were REALLY Iran who supplied it or Pakistan, North Korean, or even a "lost" nuke from the FSU. After Iraq and Afghanistan I can't imagine the US wanting to get bled out in yet another long-term war either. So what's to deter something like that from happening once nations who support terrorism have nuclear weapons?
