Ma'am, yes ma'am!

ARTICLE: First Woman Ascends to Top Drill Sergeant Spot, By JAMES DAO, New York Times, September 21, 2009

I remember the debates from the early 1990s about women in combat and in the military in general.

The counter-arguments felt like pissing in the wind back then and the "long wars" have simply crushed them.

We'll be the better for it. We won't build a 21st century fighting force using just half our potential brain power.

Just as the incorporation of women into the workforce helped fuel our economic recovery in the 80s, so will they help reinvent our military.

As my DI used to direct in bayonet drill in Basic Training "Show NO Mercy!" Women in many ways more relentless than MEN! Look at those two famous Brits--Elizabeth I and Margaret Thatcher. More Ba--- than the Bushes.

Nature says the women are nastier--the old bit about the mama bear and her cubs.

In Alaska, quickest way to die is to wander between moose and her calf. Mama will beat you to death on the spot with her hooves. Dad, who knows where he is?
