We have come to the point of "Hyphenation" . . The "Af/Pak war is no longer just "Bush's", but either "Bush-Obama" or just "Obama's War" and apparently Obama is casting about for either an action that will keep him safe in both the eyes of his Left base and keep the roar on the right at a tolerable low . . or a retreat that won't cause a mass defection of his moderate base . . Which, in the end (it may happen anyway) will result in a completely new Congress in 2010, and with it, little hope of either completing his programs or being re-elected in '12 . .
