This is a topic of some concern, especially for local law enforcement.Intel collection and counter intelligence has got to be pushed down to the street level. We aren't trained and the mindset shift is tough as to many are still fighting the " War on Drugs".
All the terrorists, extremists, cartels and mafia / organized crime are working together, linked by their need for money, training and supplies.
The ability of the bad actors to bring the fight here may get lip service from the political types and bureaucracy but it is not getting the attention or the necessary shift in mindset required to stop it before the bad thing happens. Prevention and disruption (what we need) versus reactive policing (what we end up with).
Please tell your friends....If you see something weird, suspicious or odd call the Police. We won't mind, you get to know us and vice versa, and we often discover some really interesting stuff when smart observant folks call and talk to us. It's what you pay taxes for. Use it.
