Treasury: Keeping the customer happy

MONEY & INVESTING: "U.S., in Nod to China, to Sell More TIPS," by Rob Copeland and Maya Jackson Randall, Wall Street Journal, 6 August 2009.

TIPS refers to Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities. Treasury is issuing a lot more of these as it tries to sell record amounts and wants to keep China happy.
