Pakistan results and no US casualties

Lots of controversy on the drones with regard to creating local friction with populace, but the seminal attraction remains: no direct casualties on our side from ops.

It is starting to appear that this offense into the Swat by al-Qaeda and the Taliban was a strategic blunder. There was a story yesterday of anti-Taliban protests in Swat. This might be comparable to the 2006 AQI offensive in Iraq that began with the Sammarra Mosque bombing. Eventual their actions turned the population of many of the towns against them.

We just have to be ready to take advantage of their mistakes, like we did with the Surge and the Sunni Awakening.
