Sounds like three yards and a cloud of dust from Woody Hayes. Patiently march down the field, don't go for the long pass when you don't have to, score, give the ball to the ref, get off the field, get the ball back and do it again. Of course that opens you up to some criticism from the hometown sportswriters (talk radio, political opponents) and your fans (American public) for being so boring. As long as your perceived as winning, the critics can be deflected. If not, you are fired and a new coach is hired to install the Star Wars offense.
