Leave it be to find its own level and let it fix itself or not. More government is not the answer and spending MORE money doesn't seem to make sense.
Claims reported in the article are hard to prove,
"Mr. Gault added: “I don’t think it’s right to look at it by saying, ‘Well, the economy is still doing extremely badly, therefore the stimulus didn’t work.’ I’m afraid the answer is, yes, we did badly but we would have done even worse without the stimulus.” "
There are large number of economists who disagree. Publish the data and prove your claim.
I do believe that a few 10,000's of government jobs were saved and a few 1000's even created. But how many millions have been lost due to the current economic and political uncertainty?
