I think John would have tried many things, especially with Yoko to egg him on. As tragic as his death was, it would have been so much more tragic if it had happened during what he referred to as the "lost years'. I was amazed about the level of intoxication he lived with as written in the Spitz book. Keith Richard has nothing on John for a survival tale. John lived long enough to demonstrate that his lofty ideals of peace were sincere. The Double Fantasy album was a great comeback, revealing the natural showman he was. There was great potential for the future.

Musicians my son's age love the Beatles.
