Someone's got some 'splainin to do

Worth drilling down on this one. The chart alone (reposted here) is a stunner that demands complex explanation--from somebody in the government.

I've always hated that rule about losing your vote if you commit a felony. I don't think someone's right to vote should ever be taken away--so long as they remain a citizen.

Careful you don't succumb to confirmation bias on this one, Tom. The rises in the murder rate were already well underway before prohibition and the "War on Drugs". I think there's probably another cause(s) that better explains the trends.
