Equally low opinions

POLL: World Poll Finds Global Leadership Vacuum, WorldPublicOpinion.org, June 16, 2008

A clear signal of a world in transition and an absence of identifiable grand strategy among great powers: everyone is viewed as petty and stuck on their own definitions of success instead of promoting vision that attracts real allies.

this is facinating subject, you know,at outset of 1st world war,it was the brittish who had the leader role in the world, and in 2nd world war it was US,who replaced the old empire, but now,or in perhaps, near future(we have to monitor the situation closely),there is no country in position to take that role, this is very good news indeed for humanity, and maybe during my lifetime we will be able to see thetrue human history begin, and finally solve a lot of suffering in theworld, and recognize that we are in the same boat, and we need to work together toward what humanity needs instead of profit or money.

While I agree, there is no political leader where the world can find guidance, the US is without doubt the leader among nations. We are a hyperpower, not only in military affairs, but in economic and cultural affairs as well.

But wait a second, I though Al Gore was a world leader of sorts?

Maybe those that understand the situation feel it is best to let the transition turmoil unfold until it gets noticed and digested by enough of the potentially responsible players.

What I thought was interesting was how each region seemed to feel the same way about most of the leaders. Asia and Nigeria seemed to like everybody. The Americas, Europe and Russia disliked everybody (exception for citizens of a leaders own country, and Bush flunked that). The ME peoples hated everybody. I get the feeling what we're seeing is as much or more people's feelings about their lives in general as the leaders in particular.
