Predictions coming true

ARTICLE: China, U.S. Make Plans for North Korea Collapse, Reports Say, By Bradley K. Martin, Bloomberg, January 11, 2008

As Brad says, more evidence.

With this and the State Dept. holding firm on Taiwan and the NIE chilling Bush's push on Iran, my 2005 Esquire "Mr. President" piece is looking O-tay!

It basically said: avoid the Taiwan scenario, chill on Iran, and prepare to liquidate North Korea.

Again I say: "It is curious to me how our media seem to ignore these type articles."

Too easily distraced by wind and waves to notice tides and currents?

This part of the article wasn't so reassuring:``A failure to prepare for this monumental task risks losing the Korean dream of reunification to Chinese hegemony,'' he writes. ``If South Korea cannot occupy the DPRK immediately and effectively, China will.''I found myself remembering the general in DR STRANGELOVE who obsessed over the bunker gap:P

One can draw a good point from this, though; South Korea (probably Russia, too) should be in on this as well to avoid misunderstandings and head butting at new fences. If one counts the questions of humanitarian aid and the taking in of refugees, the entire G20 should be involved. . .
