Kaplan comes full circle

OP-ED: Lost at Sea, By ROBERT D. KAPLAN, New York Times, September 21, 2007
I would say Kaplan has come full circle from his "How We Will Fight China" piece for Atlantic.

Patience, my friends, is the grand strategist's most important character trait.

He acknowledges that, today, we have already reached the post-globalization era; which he properly identifies as the Asian Century.
Now strategies must be conceived of and be implemented within the context of this new paradigm.
Thus, the rise of Asia has become the driving force in international affairs -- eclipsing the era of globalization and causing it to become an item of lesser importance.
