China's as bad as we were

ARTICLE: 'A nation of outlaws: A century ago, that wasn't China -- it was us,' By Stephen Mihm, Boston Globe, August 26, 2007
A favorite theme of mine from BFA and a column ("China's Time Machine") a while back.

Fault me for posting a bit of sensationalism from such a rag, but Mihm plus this piece make an interesting story in duality; not to mention how fascinating it is to watch China's bipolar personality.
You can't pick and choose which information flows people can access when you open yourself up to connectivity. Pardon a poor metaphor, but the information flow is like a firehose; if you try to drink from it, you're going to get a facefull.
