Allegation: what Tom says 'war' in the ME is REALLY about

Google tipped me off to this post from yesterday on Islamic Forum by thezman, one of the IF Guardians.

The answer: 'taking out opponents of "Globalization" (Islam) and making the M.E safe for Israel'.

Man, I missed that.

The same post points to the famous C-SPAN video from Tom's presentation at the NDU in June 2004, broadcast Labor Day weekend, now uploaded to Google Video. It doesn't take a writing analysis to guess that thezman uploaded it.

He recommends watching it until his readers have it memorized so they know what the 'Global Elites' are planning.

I guess it's good to have it up on Google Video...

Sad to say this is not a new thing. the presentation of the 2004 availiable on the torrents is sub titled as "Fascism/Corporatism for dummies" i never the less continue to serve this torrent with the idea of making new ones soon. the actual presentation speaks clearer then the conspiracy theories.

Gap, or Core, there is little that can be done about people who take the choice of not thinking in any critical fashion, or half truths.

Doron: that's globalization and transparency, right? there are tools (like the Brief) and they can be used for good or bad. in this case, people supply the contrary to Tom's intention, but opposite use is easy.

i'm pretty sure this would be the wrong time to quote 'they meant it for evil, [someone else] meant it for good', so i won't ;-)

Dan: LOL!

This is actually a good example of why I like Tom's work. It is such a bird eyes view that it seems like there must be some sort of a conspiracy (if only...).

Tom outlines a strategy that definitely includes a military component and also an economic one. People who are susceptible to conspiracy theories always go ape when they hear someone intelligently connecting these two important aspects of our world together.

His strategy also is meant to benefit the United States and people who adhere to the rule-set we've defined. Clearly there are people in the world who do not understand the benefits our system or are willing to play by our rules.

I belong to a writer's group. When I explained the outline of PNM, they all looked at me as if I were daft.

"That's nothing but the corporatist agenda for the world," they said. You have to realize that I live in the People's Republic of Puget Sound. Globalism and democracy are not popular here.

Once Sovs started going away in 1980s, Hollywood turned to "evil corporations" as stock villain. Now, the "crazy Muslim" crowds a bit of that out, but that's so un-multicultural, so "all-controlling corporations" still an attractive target. People fear complexity and want simple answers, and conspiracies provide that.

"See, I told you so!" replaces "It's God's will" for many people.

The truth, of course, lies somewhere in between, but that sort of understanding takes real investment, and when you want it bad, you get it bad.

Simple rule: the less mature the economic connectivity, the more susceptible to conspiracy views. Because the more connectivity, the more likely truth finds it way to the surface, except for those who insist on filtering it out.
