Tom in Austria's Profil

Sebastian Heinzel's interview with Tom: "Mussen raffinierter vorgehen", Profil, February 6, 2006
A kind Austrian gentleman wrote Tom and mentioned he'd read about him in Profil. I tried to find the interview online, but couldn't. So I wrote him back and asked for help (as I only know a few words in German). He was kind enough to scan the article, which is not available online, and now I present it to you.
Any of you Germanaphones want to comment?

Good interview. Tom is reiterrating his points on what to do about Iran and the nuclear weapons issue, which we have seen on this blog.
We can't afford to use military force right now and Bush realizes this so it's best for us to begin speaking with Iran and find what was called a "Sicherheitloesung," or a solution to the security problem.
The talks should be held between Old and New Core members such as Western Europe, Russia, China, and India.
Good interview and I'd say if anyone speaks German it's worth reading.
As someone's who's read both Tom's books, has a dozen or so interviews with him on mp3 and has read most of his articles, the content wasn't new, however, the translation was quite good if that's what you're asking =) And I'm sure the Austrians will love hearing a more "rational" voice from the US on Iran.
I've spent the last 15 minutes using the German and Austrian google but found nothing. It doesn't look like the interview is online. I checked www.profil.at but nothing and googled the title and first lines of the article but still nothing.
I only found this link from the German newspaper Die Zeit while googling for more information:

Thomas P. Barnett ist, in einem Beitrag für den Globalist, für ein “grand bargain” - Washington soll die Bombe akzeptieren und im Gegenzug Garantien für Israel und Nichteinmischung in die Region fordern. Wie man einen nuklear bewaffneten Iran zur Einhaltung der Garantien zwingen könnte, sagt er allerdings nicht.
Which is just about Tom's grand bargain between the US and Iran for the bomb but it's from Jan 25th 2006.
excellent, as we are used to it by now; hervorragend, wie wir es mittlerweile gewöhnt sind ;-)
Dear Tom,
what the heck is a
Germanaphone?:):)
Curiously,
Albert KLamt
Germany/Berlin
i'll take that one, Albert, since i wrote it.
'Germanaphone', probably better spelled 'Germanophone', from the French for 'German-speaker'.
of course, in choosing such a word, i have violated Professor Tolkien's preference for Anglo-Saxon etymology, the plain 'German-speaker'.
best probably would have been 'Deutschlautsprecher', nein? ;-)
having established that, a big thank you to all of you who read in German and commented, especially Chirol for the additional link.
'Deutschlautsprecher', hm, that would be a "german loudspeaker" ;-)))
LOL! thanks, Hans. (blast that Google!) seemed like there was an extra syllable in there. so am i safe in assuming the proper word would be 'deutschsprecher'? ;-)
Hmmm... reminds me of JFK, "I am a jelly doughnut."
yes, Critt. except i'm a little more dashing than Kennedy ;-)
