Anatoly Chubais, the guy who sold off so many government assets to the oligarchs in the 1990s, worries about the Russian state's rising role in the economy. He sees no strategy, just tactics masquerading as strategy.
Chubais now runs his own investment fund, the cure--as he sees it--for what ails Russia, a problem that the Kremlin readily admits: they've got the big firms, too many with state-involvement. What they lack are the innovative entrepreneurial firms.
