The fund (National Wealth Fund) starts at about $30b this year, but is projected to stand at more like a quarter trillion by 2012. Bad quote from Evan Bayh, saying the Russians show a tendency to invest for policies unrelated to economics. Truth is, the Russians are a business masquerading as a government. The question is, do the Russians learn more from financial connectivity with West or do we teach/tame them more by forcing them to invest mostly in undemocratic Gap states?
