Friend Hank Gaffney sent me recent PRT report out of Khost. Very interesting. Basically describing the same package and ops of the group down in Manda Bay, Kenya, that I profiled in Esquire, making it so apparent: same basic deal, just pre-conflict. So you think of Africom as just one big collection of PRTs engaged in "pre-emptive nation-building." If it needs to be done, and you can head off some conflict in advance, why not do now as opposed to later?
