Okay Tom buying your thesis! But what do you expect from a potentially resurgent Iraq post American intervention and occupancy? Will this "nation-state" be likely to remain in the orbit of the USA or will oil politics become the dominant theme for its future including use of that resource to avoid addressing the needs of its people?

Also any chance of the Turks allowing a major alliance beteen the Kurds and the US? Is Kurdistan still gap?

I expect Iraq to look out for itself, as will the Kurds. I expect everybody to be exactly who they are.
