I just don't see the settlements issue ever getting settled
Israel offers temporary freezes here and there but the building continues.
I just don't know how you can seriously discuss the two-state solution when one state continues to encroach upon the land of the other. I get the cheap housing issue, but pretending you're working for peace when you're constantly appropriating the other guy's land--that's a hard one to swallow.
I don't think Obama gets anywhere with his stance, except to prove he's not a patsy for Israel.
In general, I think he's given up on Israel and they've given up on him, which is why the Iran dynamic is more important.
