Any overhaul of financial regulatory oversight in this day and age will automatically be very complex and thus take a while to figure out, and yeah, the recession's likely long gone by then.

I just like Paulson's ambition here. Given all the changes in the global economy and--therefore our own--over the past couple of decades, this course only seems prudent.

Hell, just having the conversation will be well worth the time and effort.
