Nuclear synergy simply works for North Korea

The "most concrete benefit" for North Korea on this launch is selling the technology to fellow pariahs, so it's a double-win: freak the West into concessions or aid and make money on the side.

It's all North Korea knows: negative connectivity--for sale.

N.Korea should be looked at through the prism of Japan and S. Korea! Does China really want those two powers fully announced and nuclear capable?

Should we really credit Kim Jong-Il with so much Realpolitik-logic? It seems to me that his recent stroke probably has something to do with a need to show off his manly vigor, or something. All the analyses of this man just come off as too rational, to me. He's Tom Greene with a country for crying out loud.
